A. Sofie Jannusch is a consultant at the Catholic Media Council (CAMECO) in Aachen, Germany, an agency dedicated to Media and Communications in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Pacific. At the service of donor organisations (CAMECO members and external funders) media projects are assessed, advice on funding policy is provided, and evaluations of programmes and projects are carried out. Direct assistance to local partners includes participatory evaluations, strategic planning processes, organisational development, assessment of training needs, and the planning of media strategies for non-governmental and Church organisations. Since 2007, Sofie has supervised the mediaME-Wiki (Media Development Monitoring and Evaluation) project. She holds an M.A. in journalism, with specialisation on International Communication and Latin American Studies. As a journalist, she has worked in print, radio and TV, and training.
