Human rights-based approach as a framing concept for media development
The human rights-based approach offers a new perspective on media development. Besides addressing the role of media in fostering the right to freedom of expression and access to information, it aims at strengthening participation of marginalized groups and accountability of state institutions. In how far does the concept help to establish new strategies and partnerships in media development? What are the opportunities and challenges in project implementation?
